Scope of Work
Large scale LNG import facility with a total regasification capacity of 8.25 Million Nm3/day using submerged combustion vaporizers. The facility was originally developed to operate with a permanently moored LNG Floating Storage Unit and later expanded to include a 175,000 m3 full containment LNG storage tank. The terminal includes two LNG berths for permanent access of two LNG carriers with a maximum capacity of 165,000 m3. Other auxiliary systems include pipeline gas compression, Boil-off gas compression, utilities and emergency flare. In 2019, Codelco, part owner of GNL Mejillones, was seeking the potential sale of its ownership shares and CH∙IV International was contracted by a potential Buyer to complete a technical, commercial and environmental due diligence of the asset.
